Are you Indian?
Sorta. I'm a small part Shawnee, but, otherwise, I'm Malaysian American, born in Miri, Sarawak in Malaysia.

Does your tribe stretch their necks?
No. You may be referring to another tribe called the Kennyah. The Kayan, in Borneo, do old school tattooing, and many of them, particularly in the older generations, do stretch their ears. Not their necks.

How do you get your ideas?
Sometimes dreams. Sometimes daydreams. Most of the time, my brain compulsively analyzes situations and, from that introspection, plot points quickly develop. If I wander through a piece and stumble upon holes, I often meditate on the story and attempt to "see" my way through the missing points.

How long have you and Steven Diggs Jr been writing together?
We've known each other since 7th grade. We've only been writing together since the summer of 2006.

Are you really vegetarian?
Yes. As of Nov 2008, it's been one year since I've become a vegetarian. Starting this November, I'll be doing a 30 day trial to become completely vegan.

Don't vegetarian's have trouble getting protein?
Not at all. Vegetarian's, even vegans, can get their proteins from beans, legumes, nuts, and soy. In fact, if you check your labels, soy has a higher protein content than most meats. But if you vary your diet throughout each day, protein is easy to get without resorting to meat.

Why did you stop eating meats?
Various reasons, although at the very top of the list is the fact that the animals who are slaughtered by large meat factories and assembly lines are grossly and horrifically abused, tortured, and taunted before finally dying. Would you like that done to you?
